So busy, so stressed, but also feeling pretty awesome about life. Less so about fitness.

Workout:

Chin ups: 5

These are coming back slow after that stupid injury. Didn’t push myself even a bit.

“barbell” Curls: 20x44.5 21x44.5

Don’t want to hear it. I’m doing curls because it’s better than not lifting. And who hasn’t admired big arms?

DB squats: 20x44.5 30x44.5

got my heart rate up, but not much else.

Oh yeah, I worked out last night quickly before bed.

Push ups: 10 20 40

DB OHP: 7x49.5 6x49.5

No DOMS today and still hit my previous push up PR of 40, so obviously my body isn’t too pathetically out of shape.

Juggling a thesis, job search, and wedding isn’t fun.

I might be moving to Boston for a job in the next 3-6 months. I’m a strong candidate for the position, but haven’t yet received an offer. It’s an excellent research centre so I’d be foolish not to take the job. But I may hate the city…

Anyone following me from Boston, MA?

What’s it like?

Back from a week-long conference about MRI stuff. Had three interviews during the week and lined up another interview via phone today. Let’s see if I’m employable. The next two months is going to be the busiest I’ve ever been as I try to finish my M.Sc. and prepare to get hitched. I somehow have to find time to work out. I’m out of shape. There’s no two ways about it. I feel better when I’m running and lifting. Especially since my diet has consisted of crap for a whole week (I really tried to eat well, but it’s hard when you barely have an hour to find food in the downtown area of an unfamiliar city).

Anyhow, I’m alive, and I’m back. Plan to whip myself back into shape.
